The State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) is a national program that offers one-on-one assistance, counseling, and education to Medicare beneficiaries, their families, and caregivers to help them make informed decisions about their care and benefits. The funds awarded through this application are for a five year project period running April 1, 2025 through March 31, 2030. Additional information

Eligibility for this funding announcement is limited by statute. Eligible applicants include State Units on Aging (SUA), State Departments of Insurance (DOI), or the State Medicaid Agency, as directed by the state Governor. With this Funding Announcement ACL plans to fund one project in each state, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Foreign entities are not eligible to compete for, or receive, awards made under this announcement.
