Description
The Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) intends to publish a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) to solicit applications for access to a state-of-the-art Biological Testing Facility (BTF) for advancing both contraceptive and reproductive health-related product development. There is a critical need for fertility regulation methods that fit the needs of women and men throughout their reproductive lives, and it is also essential to support the development of new therapies related to reproductive health. Investigators with innovative and validated methods for future clinical development are encouraged to consider applying for this NOFO. This opportunity will use the X01 activity code, which the National Institutes of Health (NIH) uses to invite eligible institutions to seek access to NIH research resources. Grant authorities that allow the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development to forecast this opportunity are as follows: Public Health Service Act, Section 301, 448 and 487, as amended, Public Laws 78-410 and 99-158, as amended, 42 U.S.C. 241; 42 U.S.C. 285g; 42 U.S.C. 288; Small Business Research and Development Enhancement Act of 1992, Public Law 102-564, Public Law 118-47.
