Description
The purpose of the NIOSH Support for Conferences and Scientific Meetings (U13) program is to support high-quality scientific meetings, conferences, and workshops that are relevant to the NIOSH mission and that promote occupational safety and health. The conference program is an important part of the NIOSH mission. Applications should address and advance research topics in occupational safety and health that align with NIOSH program priorities. A conference or scientific meeting is a gathering, symposium, seminar, workshop, or other organized meeting in which participants meet in person or virtually to coordinate, exchange, and share information or to explore and clarify a specific topic, problem, or area of knowledge. This cooperative agreement is used when substantial federal scientific or programmatic involvement is expected, and federal staff may assist, guide, coordinate, or participate in project activities before and after the award.
