The purpose of this Funding Opportunity Announcement is to invite proposals for funding from Tribal Colleges and Universities, Tribal Serving Institutions, Community Colleges on or near Tribal Lands, and other Trade Schools on or near Tribal Lands interested in providing innovative hands-on, in-person manufacturing training and technical assistance through rapid reskilling of employees for 8(a) and HUBZone eligible small businesses , under the U.S. Small Business Administration's Empower to Grow Program (formerly known as 7(j) Management and Technical Assistance Program).

Additional information

a) A Tribal College or University (TCU) as defined in the Higher Education Act, Page 12 Section 316 (20 U.S.C. §1059c); b) A community college located on or near tribal lands or Indian lands as defined under 25 U.S.C. §2; c) A trade or vocational school that primarily serves federally recognized Indian Tribes, Alaska Native villages or organizations (as defined under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act, 43 U.S.C. §1601 et seq.), or Native Hawaiian communities; or d) A tribal-serving institution with established manufacturing or skilled labor training programs. • Have been in existence continually for at least the past three years; • Have experience providing hands-on, in-person technical assistance, tools, or training relating to manufacturing or skilled labor to small businesses on a regional or national basis; and • Demonstrate that it has the capacity to provide manufacturing-related training and technical assistance to small business concerns
