Consortia for Structure-based Immunogen Design for HIV (CSID-HIV) (UM1 Clinical Trial Not Allowed)
Agency: National Institutes of Health
Assistance Listings: 93.855 -- Allergy and Infectious Diseases Research
Description
The purpose of this notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) is to support coordinated, multidisciplinary research on structure-based immunogen design aimed at preventing and controlling HIV. The goal is to develop HIV immunogens and treatment strategies that use or stimulate broadly neutralizing antibodies (bNAbs), and to advance these approaches toward clinical testing for both prevention and therapy. Technologies and methods developed through this initiative are expected to have broad applications in other fields that face similar challenges in targeting antigens for therapeutics and vaccine development.
