The purpose of the Transitioning Gang-Involved Youth to Higher Education Program is to provide gang-involved youth with postsecondary education opportunities that will lead to certification or credentials.

Additional information

Eligible applicants are institutions of higher education (IHEs) (as defined in section 101 of the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended (HEA) (20 U.S.C. 1001)), public and private nonprofit organizations and agencies that partner with IHEs. Note: State Education Agencies are considered eligible applicants as public agencies.
