The Embassy of the United States in Jordan announces an open competition for alumni of U.S. government-funded and U.S. government-sponsored exchange programs to submit applications to the 2026 Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF 2026). We welcome proposals from teams consisting of at least two alumni that meet all program eligibility requirements below, with one team member designated as the lead applicant. The following individuals are eligible to apply: • Individual Applicants must be alumni of U.S. government-funded academic or professional exchange program (https://alumni.state.gov/list-exchange-programs) or a U.S. government-sponsored exchange program under BridgeUSA (https://j1visa.state.gov/). • Projects teams must include teams of at least two (2) alumni, with one member designated as the lead applicant for the program. Not-for-profit organizations, non-governmental organizations, think tanks, and academic institutions are not eligible to apply. These entities may serve as partners for implementing project activities but not as primary implementers. To avoid any real or perceived conflict of interest, individuals who own a private business may not use that business as a partner. For-profit entities, even those that may fall into the categories listed above, are not eligible to apply for this NOFO. When sub-contracting with other entities, the responsibilities of each entity must be clearly defined in the proposal. For more information on the difference between sub-contract and sub-recipient, please refer to 2 CFR 200.331.
