Description
The Office of Strategic Coordination (Common Fund) intends to publish a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) to solicit applications for the NIH Director’s New Innovator Award, part of the High-Risk, High-Reward Research program. The NIH Director’s New Innovator Award supports early-stage investigators of exceptional creativity who propose bold and highly innovative research projects with the potential to produce a major impact on broad, important areas relevant to the mission of NIH. Preliminary data and detailed experimental plans are not requested or required.
...Applications are not being solicited at this time. Notice is being provided to allow potential applicants sufficient time to develop meaningful and responsive projects. Investigators of exceptional creativity with a high-risk, high-impact proposal are encouraged to begin to consider applying for this new NOFO. This NOFO will utilize the DP2 (Clinical Trials Optional) activity code.
