Description

This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) solicits proposals that are expected to establish research

activities that will make significant contributions to NASA’s strategic research and technology

development priorities and contribute to the overall research infrastructure, science, and technology

capabilities of higher education, as well as the economic development of the jurisdiction receiving funding.

Each funded NASA EPSCoR proposer shall work closely with a NASA researcher to focus on developing

competitive research and technology for the solution of scientific and technical issues of importance to the

NASA Mission Directorates and Centers as listed in the Appendix-A, NASA Mission Directorates and

Center Alignment. This will allow EPSCoR researchers to work alongside NASA and commercial partners

and is intended to strengthen the bonds among NASA EPSCoR jurisdictions, NASA, commercial partners,

and other entities.

The National Science Foundation (NSF) determines overall jurisdiction eligibility for NASA EPSCoR. The latest available NSF eligibility tables are used to determine overall jurisdiction eligibility for NASA EPSCoR. The NSF 2023 eligibility table is available at: https://nsf-gov-resources.nsf.gov/2022- 06/EPSCoR%20Eligibility%20Table%20Fiscal%20Year%202023.pdf. The following jurisdictions are eligible to submit a proposal in response to this NOFO: Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Delaware, Guam, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, U.S. Virgin Islands, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wyoming. Only three proposals per Institution within the EPSCoR Jurisdiction shall be accepted. Proposals shall be submitted through the Authorized Organization Representative (or their designee).
