The US Geological Survey (USGS) is offering a funding opportunity to a CESU partner to conduct research on the timing and trends of snowmelt and associations with wet slab avalanche occurrence. USGS seeks research to investigate patterns of snowmelt onset and duration across different elevations and wildfire disturbance areas, and to utilize advanced modeling tools and empirical data to study how these patterns have evolved over time as well as future trends.
