Agency: National Institutes of Health

Assistance Listings: 93.121 -- Oral Diseases and Disorders Research

Last Updated: September 30, 2025

Description

The National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR), with other NIH Institutes and Centers (ICs), intends to publish a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) to solicit applications for networks in the mission areas of the NIH that provide research education activities, including mentoring in scientific, technical, and professional research career development, and skills development in scientific communication and grant writing, to cohorts of graduate students, postdoctoral scholars, clinician scientist and/or early career investigators. The mentoring networks are intended to provide emerging scientific talent with a pathway to successful NIH research grant support and improve the participants' retention and advancement in research careers. Applications are not being solicited at this time. Notice is being provided to allow potential applicants sufficient time to develop meaningful collaborations and responsive projects. This NOFO will utilize the UE5 activity code. Investigators with expertise and insights into the proposed scientific fields, mentor and mentee training, and workforce development are encouraged to begin to consider applying for his new NOFO. In addition, collaborative investigations combining expertise in trans-disciplinary sciences will be encouraged and these investigators should also begin considering applying.
