Institutional Training for the Predoctoral and Postdoctoral Research Workforce (T90/R90 - Clinical Trial Not Allowed)
Agency: National Institutes of Health
Assistance Listings: 93.121 -- Oral Diseases and Disorders Research
Description
The National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR), with other NIH Institutes and Centers (ICs), intends to publish a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) to solicit applications from eligible, domestic institutions to enhance predoctoral and postdoctoral research training via the Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (NRSA), to ensure that a highly qualified workforce is available to address the nation’s biomedical, behavioral and clinical research agenda. Applications are not being solicited at this time. Notice is being provided to allow potential applicants sufficient time to develop meaningful collaborations and responsive projects. This NOFO will utilize the T90 activity code (NRSA) combined with the Research Education Grant (R90) activity code that can support trainees who do not meet the qualifications for support under the NRSA program. Investigators with expertise and insights into the proposed scientific fields, mentor and mentee training, and workforce development are encouraged to begin to consider applying for this new NOFO. In addition, collaborative investigations combining expertise in trans-disciplinary sciences will be encouraged and these investigators should also begin considering applying.
