Summary

The purpose of the Delta Health Systems Implementation Program (DSIP) is to improve healthcare delivery in rural areas by implementing projects that will improve the financial sustainability of rural healthcare organizations and allow for increased access to care in rural communities. You can apply if your organization is located in a rural county or parish in the Delta region and is one of the below eligible organization types. The Delta region is the region served by the Delta Regional Authority, which includes 252 counties and parishes located across eight states - Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, and Tennessee. To determine if a county or parish in the Delta region is rural visit HRSAs Rural Health Grants Eligibility Analyzer at https://data.hrsa.gov/tools/rural-health. Types of eligible organizations These types of domestic* organizations may apply: Public institutions of higher education Private institutions of higher education Non-profits with or without a 501(c)(3) IRS status For-profit organizations, including small businesses State, county, city, township, and special district governments, including the District of Columbia, domestic territories, and the freely associated states Independent school districts Native American tribal governments Native American tribal organizations * Domestic means the 50 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, or the Republic of Palau. Individuals are not eligible applicants under this NOFO.
